Itinerary Details
• 05:30 AM – Early Pick Up in Kigali Fuel up with breakfast and hit the road for an adventurous 2.5-hour drive to Akagera, where the real journey begins.
• 08:00 AM – Park Entry & Morning Game Drive Arrive and register at the park reception. Get ready for an exciting safari adventure full of thrilling wildlife encounters ! From towering giraffes and massive elephants to zebras on the run and perhaps a lion stalking its prey, every turn brings a new thrill.
• 12:30 PM – Picnic in the Wild Take a break in the bush for a picnic lunch surrounded by untamed beauty, then jump back into the adventure.
• 03:00 PM – Optional Boat Safari on Lake Ihema Hop on a boat and cruise the hippo-filled waters, where crocodiles lurk and exotic birds soar overhead. (Advance booking recommended !)
• 04:00 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Continue exploring different corners of the park, chasing down more wildlife action before sunset.
• 05:30 PM – Exit the Park Wave goodbye to Akagera’s wilderness and kick back as you head back to Kigali.
• 08:00 PM – Drop-Off in Kigali Arrive at your hotel buzzing with safari stories, close-up animal encounters, and a day you will never forget.
