This 4-day adventure blends the wild heart of Nyungwe Forest with the tranquil beauty of Lake Kivu in Karongi. Trek deep into jungles for primates, soar above treetops on a canopy bridge, chase waterfalls, sip Rwanda’s finest tea, and sail into the sunrise on the world’s third deepest lake. Day 1 : Arrival in Kigali – Scenic Transfer to Nyungwe via King’s Palace Museum
• Arrival at Kigali International Airport / Hotel Pickup – Meet your driver-guide and hit the road toward Rwanda’s lush southwest.
• Stop at the King’s Palace Museum (Nyanza) Step into Rwanda’s royal past : admire the magnificent Inyambo long-horned cows, tour traditional royal huts, and hear tales of kingship.
• Continue Scenic Drive to Nyungwe National Park Wind through rolling hills, tea plantations, and dramatic highland views, an adventure on wheels with plenty of photo stops.
• Evening Arrival at Nyungwe Settle into your forest lodge, enjoy dinner, and let the rainforest chorus set the mood for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 : Waterfall Hike, Optional Zip-Lining & Canopy Walkway
• Morning – Waterfall Hike – Trek through lush rainforest trails to discover Kamiranzovu or Ndambarare Waterfall. Along the way, encounter colorful orchids, butterflies, and exotic birdlife. Feel the cool spray on your face as you stand at the foot of the waterfall an exhilarating jungle moment.
• Midday – Optional Zip-Line Adventure For adrenaline lovers, glide above treetops on Rwanda’s only rainforest zip-line, a thrilling bird’s-eye view of Nyungwe’s canopy.
• Afternoon – Canopy Walkway Conquer Africa’s longest suspension bridge (160m long, 70m high). Walk above treetops while spotting monkeys, birds, and sweeping green horizons. The canopy walkway is pure adrenaline and beauty, like walking in the clouds.
• Evening Relaxation at Lodge Dinner and overnight surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Day 3 : Colobus Monkey Trekking, Tea Tour Experience & Transfer to Karongi
• Morning – Colobus Monkey Trekking – Set off into the rainforest to track Angolan colobus monkeys, known for their striking black-and-white coats. Watch them leap gracefully through the canopy in large troops. Seeing hundreds of colobus monkeys in motion is like watching a choreographed jungle performance.
• Midday – Tea Plantation Tour – Visit a local tea estate and learn how Rwanda’s highland tea is cultivated and processed. Taste fresh brews right from the source.
• Afternoon – Scenic Transfer to Karongi (Lake Kivu) – Drive through Congo-Nile Divide landscapes to Karongi, a lakeside town with breathtaking views of Lake Kivu.
• Evening Arrival & Relaxation by the Lake – Watch the sunset paint Lake Kivu gold, with fishermen’s boats dotting the horizon.
Overnight : Lakeside hotel/lodge in Karongi.
Day 4 : Sunrise Boat Safari on Lake Kivu – Napoleon Island Hike – Return to Kigali
• Morning – Sunrise Boat Safari – Cruise on Lake Kivu as the sun rises, with fishermen casting nets and birds gliding across the water. The tranquility is magical.
• Mid-Morning – Napoleon Island Hike – Step ashore on Napoleon Island, home to thousands of fruit bats and panoramic lake views. A short hike rewards you with stunning scenery.
• Afternoon – Scenic Return to Kigali – Drive back through Rwanda’s rolling hills with optional stops for crafts or lunch.
• Evening – Drop-Off – End your adventure in Kigali, either at your hotel or the airport for onward travel.
